Not the most popular colour for cars, going for a green paint job can really turn out to be hit and miss. With St Patricks Day coming up we thought we’d look at some of the best and worst green cars that have graced (or tarnished) the roads. Would you hop behind the wheel of these unsightly blemishes? Does it work for them, or should they be sandblasted and repainted a more appropriate yellow and black?
We’ll start you off easy with an "acceptable" little hatchback…
…then move onto something ludicrous.
Sometimes a classic car from a reputable manufacturer can make green work.
But other times even the most prestigious of car manufacturers can be ruined by one lime-green, chrome paint job.
I mean, really? I used to have a crayon this colour.
This green has us on the fence.
Environmentally friendly taxis are great, but you don’t have to go this green.
Army vehicles have always managed to pull off green cars.
But just because your car is based on military design, doesn’t mean it can pull off this shade of green.
This green car looks bad enough to bankrupt your long-lost, orphaned half-brother (Simpsons did it).
Perhaps it really comes down to a little bit of subtlety.
